Finding your voice as an essayist over 6 rounds of essay building

Intense 1:1 supervision

Essay in French means 'tentative.' The provisional nature of essay form makes it a medium of writing that is potentially most free yet precise channel of what one wants to express — for anyone to be able to frame & visualize a thought or an image or a concept that one sees into writing — to make invisible visible, like taking a photograph with the mind's eye.

Other than telling stories with characters, constructing a tight-rope argument based on logic from premise to conclusion, a research paper with citations, there is room for the kind of writing that gives form to thought that articulates the truth as you see it —making it directly accessible to the general public & engaging as wide an audience as possible.

How do you give form to thought?

ART OF ESSAY teaches you how to build up an essay from scratch — leading you through the process of closing the gap between what you want to express & what gets expressed.  Each client is given an intense one-on-one attention & supervision from 1) externalizing what you want to express, 2) moulding into shape to 3) closing the gap — in attaining the expressive freedom in precisely communicating what you want to express.

You can sign up for a SINGLE ESSAY WORKSHOP devoted to crafting a single essay over a two week period OR a SIX-WEEK INTENSIVE WRITING WORKSHOP, where each week will be devoted to building up a single essay, the repetition of which over the course of a 6 week period will help clients find their own voice as well as discover the kind of writing that will best expresses their gift & potential.
